Marie Fortune is an award -winning creative, writer and co-artistic director of puppetry theatre company Foan & Fortune. She grew up in Yorkshire in the north of England, home of the famous Brontë sisters and currently lives in London.

Notable writing commissions include Shakes It Up!, a play about William Shakespeare for the Sharjah Children’s Literary Festival and Dubai International Arts Centre;, award- winning family show Mess! with Foan & Fortune; and A Dramatic Exploration of Henslowe’s Diary for Globe Education at the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse in London. In 2016, she was the creative producer of Shakespeare400 World Book Night at the prestigious British Library.
